Honduras or Mauritius.. been to both.. loved both especially the latter.

I would have to say St. Lucia, not that I don’t love Costa Rica. I just went to Costa Rica last December. St. Lucia has prettier beaches and has a more relaxing feel to it.
When I was in C.R. it was non-stop adventure but I actually prefer that to laying around. But, it sounds like you could use that.
No matter which one you pick, they are both great and far from home!

I haven’t been to either place…but I have reseached them a lot for future holidays. I would pick St. Lucia if you plan on staying near the Pitons. If you don’t want a resort..then have a look at the smaller St. Lucia “Villa rentals”. Another place in St. Lucia that I would like to stay at is Crystal Cottages…Its so serene and peaceful looking…and the reviews on “Trip Advisor” are good. Also look at St. Lucia “Bed and Breakfasts” I hope you have a great time. Wish I was going sometime soon. Oh…check out Balenbouche Estates…that might be what you are looking for.
